CatBack Exhaust
I have looking at catback exhaust kits for my Camaro and I have a couple of questions-
1- Which of the following would you choose? http://mods.firebirdv6.com/intakeexhaust.html (navigate to catback section). Summit also has a few cheap catbacks for under $300. http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...6&autoview=sku and http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...6&autoview=sku 2- These should bolt right up and use all the stock exhaust hangers right? 3- Is the cat welded on or is it to bolted on 4- What is a good high flow cat for my Camaro (please keep it legal) 5- How hard is a catback to install. Would I be able to do it or does a shop need to install it (I have the tools and jackstands). It shouldn't require any special tools right? Thanks for the help (if you reply please post the number you are replying to) Thanks

Re: CatBack Exhaust
The cat is welded on. The y-pipe is 3", so if you get any smaller than a 3" cat you ned an adapter.
3" carsound cat and 3" magnaflow LT1 catback is what I'm running. $125 at meinekee for those installed w/ the necessary extension welded on and the 02 sensor installed (they need to drill a hole and weld in the sensor bung). If you get another catback you'll need to buy an s-pipe, i see u were at fbirdv6 do a search on the forums. If you get a cat that is shorter than stock, which u prolly will, then u need to rig up some sorta extension.

Re: CatBack Exhaust
i had my system installed for 50 bucks.. then my catalytic convertor clogged, so i turned around and cut it off a week later and a buddy of mine who works at a shop made me a straight pipe, i welded it on and we bolted it up.. away she went..

Re: CatBack Exhaust
I put a Dynomax muffler on my 94' V6 and it sounds pretty damn good for a sixer. I know you don't hear much about Dynomax but I really like mine.
