Anyone know how many horses a stock 4.3L from a '91 puts out?

the book value for the Throttle body version was 160 horses . the cpi version was about 175 with more torque

Actually, the CPI verion is 195 HP.

How do I know if I have the CPI or throttle body version? This is probly a stupid question, but I'm don't know much about cars.

hmm...I would go look but it's at a shop getting fixed. I know it's fuel injected, does that help? Someone I know was saying something about there not being a carb if it was fuel injected...

a throttle body is a type of fuel injection, if you remove the air intake, off of the top of a tb it looks like its a carborator

oh...alright, so this guy thought it was a carb, so he said it wasn't fuel injected, but really it is, it just looks like a carb? and its really a throttle body?

from a 91 vehical i would say yes it is, a way to check is to pull the plastic cap off of the end, if it runs like shit/dies its a throttle body

TBI = Black air filter assembly on top of engine.
CPI = Orange Vortec plate on top of engine.
