Re: oil pressure sensor

IT is on the back side of the engine behind the distributer and it is a pain to get to . I have a 3 inch body lift which made it easier but you still have to lay on the engine to do anything with it

open end wrench, bent open end wrench, vice grip pliers. if liek mine you'll get more room by removing oil filter.

speaking of oil filter have you got one of the good ones mentioned in this forum to be sure you have as much oil and oil pressure up top as possible ?

your saying it drops to 0 psi when you apply brakes and it has warmed up, thus thinner and less pressure, suggests to me you may only need more oil in there. since after running a bit pan oil has pumped oil up into engine areas. braking moves what little is left in pan forward, leaving nothing for oil pump maybe.

some models require oil level to be about a litre above the full mark according to various sources. otherwise 1st thing likely to wear out too soon is rear main crankahaft bearing, indicated early on by rumbling sort of vibration.

also i suggest full synthetic oil which reduces leaking at valve quides, rings, seals and gaskets and maintains viscosity/pressure at all temps better.
