boost leak probs??

Ok, so under hard acceleration, when my car hits boost (about 3k), its not a smooth pull, its all jerky and stuttery. I searched around and went out to my car and checked all the clamps on my intercooler hoses, BOV return hose etc., and checked my vacum lines. THey were all fine. What else could be causing this?

Re: boost leak probs??

bad plugs/wires. build a boost leak tester like on VFAQ.com and check that then pull a plug and check if its old or crappy looking

Re: boost leak probs??

i had that problem...had a big boost leak in the LICP...checking hoses, clamps etc won't do it...there could be a hole/slice in a hose somewhere....use a leak tester to check. i fixed my boost leak and it runs perfect again

Re: boost leak probs??

Exactly. You can't always "see" boost leaks. You have to build the tester and listen and use soapy water, etc.
