Drivers side window came off track.

My drivers side window came loose from the plastic holders on the window mechanism on my 89 T-Bird. I took the old adhesive strips off and used 3M Marine silicone adhesive. Can anyone see a problem in the future with regards to my repair. I did not know what the original adhesive used was so I had to make do with what I had. If you know what I should have used please let me know.
Thanks for your time!
Joe

Re: Drivers side window came off track.

That'll probably work better than the original did, if you cleaned all of the surfaces really well first.
