Tranny Cooler lines

Does anyone know how difficult it is to replace the transmission cooler lines on a 94 Intrepid with a 3.3L? Mine are leaking and I need to change them.
Also does anyone know how much they should cost?

taking them off the tranny and radiator isn't hard, just you have to be a contortionist to get to it, but if your patient and want to save money, you can do it. The lines usually run about $40 for both; an inexperienced guy can do it in about 2 hours.

If you have a Dremel tool try to cut the crimp that goes over the hose were the hose connects to the steel line. Cut three lines in crimped aluminum shrowd and peal back with pliers like a banana, remove old hose and replace with new tranny hose use two hose clamps

The suggstion of cutting and replacing hoses and adding extra clamps seems somewhat confused. The hoses are not all that expensive and are easily changed. They come out and go in easiest from the front. One must be patient and it can be puzzling, but if you are going to fix it you should do it correctly.

Be prepared to replace them again they will leak again, replacing hose and using 2 clamps per line will be easier to maintain in the event of a leak reappearing down the road. The factory crimps are made of soft aluminum and expand and contract greater causing them to leak. It only takes 30 min to cut the crimps and peal them off. If you see leakage just tighten the clamps alittle or trim the hose back (because you left it long) right?
