Painting 98-02 2dr accord Gen 3(futuro) tail lights!!!!Need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DO any have these tail lights?
The paintable part is plastic and I heard the paint doesn't stick to plastic. I don't want it to chip or anything. So has anyone done this yet?

i dont have them, but to paint onto plastic you first have to sand it to give it a rougher surface. then primer and paint.

Your right strodda, all you have to do is get about 500 grit sand paper and wet sand the sandable parts, buy a rattle can of primer (make sure it is sandble primer) wait about 15 min for it to flash (Dry). You might need 2-3 coats of primer. Then spray the parts you want a different color. Then spray the color on it that you want 2-3 times of the color you want it. Well hope that helped you. The reason i said the sandble primer is if you run the primer you can sand it down to a flat surface.
Take it easy. |
