Angry H3 Bulbs keep blowing out

I got some plasma HID's H3's that keep blowing out. They have a 10 year warranty, so they're cheap to replace, but it's getting annoying to have to replace them every 3 months.

Are there any brands that last a long time (a year maybe)?? I'm thinking PIAA, but just looking into it first.

Again, looking for long lasting HID H3 foglight bulbs.

What wattage are you using? You shouldn't go higher than 55W. I've had PIAA's for about 5 months now with no probs. they are 55W.

i was pushing 85watts... which i know is too much. i guess i'll go with the piaa's and see how long they last. I also read that you have to turn your fogs off before starting or turning off your engine, anyone else hear this?

The power fluctuates when you turn on the car or turn it off. Logically, it's a good idea to not have the lights on when this happens. (But I haven't been doing that. )

I use PIAA Ion Xtreme H3's (85w). I've had no problems with them. They're only 22.50 each at "Dirty Parts" in Culver City. I think they might have some white PIAA H3's also.

I'm using the Piaa ions - yellow. They look pretty good, but, they dont have the deep yellow of the lexus', more like a pale yellow.

100w h3

i was going thru 55w bulbs like they were going out of style so i tried 100w and havent had a prb since when you have 4 h3s in a foglight system it gets expensive to be replaceing them all the time i went with KC 100w bulbs since they are only thing that can be found here in central alaska in 100w trim , cant wait till i get back to florida gonna put a good stock foglight system in there and get rid of whats in there now even though its the most efficent system i have seen in awhile . dont know why the higher wattage fixed it im no electrician ....
