OK - Since my 97 Jetta has stared slipping, I bought some transmission fix but can't find where it goes under the hood - in the owner's manual it has about 3 sentences about the transmission and thats it - it doesn't even label it. Can anubody tell me where the transmission fluid goes?

Re: transmission fix fluid?
That is the O1M transmission & is very particular about fluid type. Most often they are never checked as there is no dipstick or drain & the fill is hard to get to. It is probably in need of service & has a low level. To corretly check the level requires a VW scan tool. I advise having the transmission serviced by someone familiar with these units. It uses a special oil, make sure they know this as putting in the wrong stuff will damage it.
