Avg MPG?

Curious what everyones mpg is for the G35. I am debating on a few cars and handling and gas is important (mostly handling over mpg). Im looking to get over 20mpg on highway. Thanks people

I've had a G35 6 spd sedan since January 05, I average about 23 mpg. My daily commute is mostly highway with some city street driving.
Hope this helps, I'm very happy with the car so far.
Take care

Good question

Gas was also an issue when I was car shopping...but when I test drove the G35 that was all thrown out the window. I average about 20 MPG..on a full tank I can rack about 400 miles, but that's at about $45 a pop on a full tank.

economy

Greetings. My wife and I just picked up a 2005 G35 6-speed, like, last night, with the performance option [18" wheels, etc etc]. I am curious what kind of economy we should expect, and, is this running reg or premium gas?

On the gas door, is is suggested to use hi test, but doesnt say you 'must' use the high test. From some dealers, i was told we only have to run hi test if it says you MUST run it so we are planning on running the reg unless we are going to go up to the mountains etc and want to haul butt through the twisties etc.

Don;t mean to hijack this thread, but, do we HAVE to run hi test and if so, WHY?

Re: Avg MPG?

You can run anything pretty musch except Diesel or super super.

My dad puts E85 corn gas in his somtimes and it runs, just not at optimal performance. It is still pretty quick though.

G35 over BMW 330 any day.

Re: Avg MPG?

the 06 330 BMW was the direct comparison car we considered - IOW - we considered either the G35 or the 330, and bought the 05 G35 it does flat out RUN baby and my wife loves it so much better than the honda she was driving... It is kinda low for me but I won;t be driving it daily - it is her car - I'll keep my YUKON 4x4 thank you very much. However, I do love the car and the 6 speed makes it really fun to drive. THANKS

Re: Avg MPG?

No problem.

I am with you in one aspect, there is nothing like getting behind the wheel of a big GM V8!

Just like our '00 Silverado
