Alternator/Dash display/cruise/temperature question
Red battery signal appeared (on & off at first) in the Message Center, but volt meter still showing 14+ volt charge. I understand that this may mean that a diode has failed in the alternator and can be repaired with out completely changing out the alternator.
Weird thing: Why did the transmission gear display go out along with the water temperature guage and cruise control? If the warning goes aways, everthing returns to normal. 2002 Silverado, 88,000mlies, 4X4LT |

Re: Alternator/Dash display/cruise/temperature question
Maybe a wiring problem that may have nothing to do with the alternator.
