whistling noise

I have a 98 Eclipse RS. When I am accelerating between 55 and 65 I get a whistling noise. If I let off the gas pedal it stops, but when i get back on it it starts again. After around 65 it stops. I cannot tell where the noise is coming from. Please Help.

that noise im sorry to tell u but it a vaccum leak...to find it it is up to u prob in the intake manifold some were good luck finding it

Is the TB stock? A friend of mine has a Jeep TB on his, and it whistles at different throttle positions.

Yeah, I am pretty sure the throttle body is stock. Is this a major problem or should I just let it go until I get money to fix it.

my car does the same...somewhat...whenever i hit about 4-6000 rpm's i get whistling....

I have an RS it has no turbo.

theres nothing wong theres a bunch of cars that have that noise in high rpm's, I think its even better with that sound. But its nothing bad.

my GS also did that it does sound like a turbo spooling up i dont know what it was when i test drove it i thought it was turbo'd but when i got back to the dealer and poped the hood i couldnt see a turbo or no suporting mods so i dont know what it could be i wouldnt mind finding it out tho

yeah my rs does the same, about 4k and allthe way, but i found it cool, when i first got it my friend drove it for about 10 minutes and he said it was a turbo,i heard that it could be a really tiny hole in the muffler, but i don't mind it, sounds cool to me,
