Question What temperature is your house?

Since my car accident, I have been forced to stay in south carolina at my uncles house. He keeps the thermostat on 70 degrees Farenheit. To me, if I want it that cold, I turn on the AC. thats only one degree over 69! 69 is wayyyyyy too cold for a house. 70 isnt much better. My fingers get numb and I have to rub my hands together and blow warm air on them. I have turned it up to 72 before, but he comes out and says... man do you think its hot in here? and I say, NO I think its freezing in here. And he says, Oh, okay, well Im gonna turn it down just a little bit. Im like.. FUCK! Im cold. I like to at least keep it about 75 in my house. Its warmer outside, I think Ill go sleep in my car. How cold/warm do you guys like your house to be?

Re: What temperature is your house?

70 doesn't sound too bad. I like it colder rather than warm.

Re: What temperature is your house?

Ummm...whatever the outside temperature is, adding the effect of insulation. No central heating. I like my house about 15 C though.

Re: What temperature is your house?

With the crazy price of natural gas I try to keep it around 65-68 during the day, and between 62-65 at night. I'm going to hate to see my utility bill this month as last months was aroung $375, ( i wouldn't be surprised if it was over $500 due to the fact of the cold snap we had where temps were way below zero for close to a week.) Does your uncle use a humidifier? These can add moisture to the air and make a cooler temperature feel warmer on your skin. When air is dry it seems colder on your skin.

Re: What temperature is your house?

20 degrees Celcius or 68 degrees Farenheit in the winter.

16 degrees Celcius or 60.8 degrees Farenheit in the summer.

I don't like it all that warm, even though I have central electrical heating. I turn it up a good bit at night though for winter.

Re: What temperature is your house?

My house and my car are both usually set at 67F. When I get cold I'll turn it up to 69-ish. During the summer the temp is usually over 75-80 inside... house was built in 1964 and somehow AC was overlooked in the last remodel sad story, I know

During the day, the a/c is usually turned off or set to around 78. Depends on how cold or hot it is. At night usually 70-73. The heater is only ran every once in a while.
