crate motor swap

I have a 94 jgcl, with a tired 5.2, 167,000 on the odometer.

Like most on the board, I like the jeep, and prefer not to get rid of it.

Has anyone, or have knowledge of, swapping the 5.2 for something from the mopar performance line of crate motors?

Is it time for a rebuild? If you want a new motor check out Jasper on the web, maybe 1500 to 2000 for motor.

Thanks for the response. I guess my bigger question is, if I go throught the trouble, how difficult would it be to replace it with something that has a little more power. The 220 is fine, but if there is more within reason, why should I not go for it?

How would this affect emissions, etc.
