What is a good starter car that is typically $5-8k

My dad and I are have just begun to consider buying a muscle car this spring. I would appreciate some ideas for a cheap starter car that you can usually get a turnkey one for a under 10k. Thanks

OR

1970/1972 chevelle SS 454

Remember, they arent going to be in great condition, but hey you can do some body work and you will have a sweet car.
