Question Heated Seat not working

My passenger side seat doesnt heat up. When the switch is on, you can feel warmth slightly around the switch area itself, but it never heats up like the drivers side does.
anyone know what to do?

Re: Heated Seat not working

How about taking a look at the switch connection.

This is some obvious stuff bro, no offense, but you pointed out to yourself what you should look at.

just wanted to see if there was a common cause. I learned from asking about the possible front end noise (which was really vague) ended up having a simple cheap cause with the hood noise....which ended up saving me a boatload of cash. Had I not asked, I may have started replacing ball joints and everything else.

I will take out the switch and look at it. Anything obvious that I should be looking for? Broken wires?
Is there a seperate fuse for each seat? Drivers side heats up quick and hot. Passenger side remains cold.

You seem to be on the right path.

pulled the switch for the heated seats/Lumbar on the passenger side. The lumbar switch works fine, but the heated seat does not come on. Unfortunatley the wires are soldered right to the switch...no connector so remove the switch and work on it inside. I don't see any obvious problems with it.
Anyone else have a problem with your heated seat not coming on? Did you fix it?

Re: Heated Seat not working

There was a heated seat how to just posted recently, I suggest you read it and learn how to take your seat apart and check it.

You sure the switch is fine?

Question two connectors?

two connectors underneath the rear or the front passenger seat. one big, one small. Can someone tell me what each is for? I only have lumbar control and heat. Not power movement.

I will tell you what to do Josh....

Go to AllDataDIY.com and subscribe one year for vehicle. It will give you every diagram, procedure, drawing, TSB, recall, diagnostics for your year vehicle. It cost's $24.95 for one year...the best money you could spend. It also tells you part numbers, labor time so you can get an idea what a dealer would charge prior to your own DIY efforts.

Go there and check it out..you can save alot time waiting for someone to post, versus you learning, and self diagnostics....check it out it's a cool site.

I think he has also set the record for the fastest to make it from Newbie to enthusiast.

At this rate Josh, You'll be a Moderator by 2006! Keep up the good work Josh, at least you've got the guts to try!
