Attention Canadian shoppers

I have just bought a new range/mode sensor. Isuzu calls it an inhibitor switch. I shopped around the Toronto area for the best price. It was going for $ 525 Canadian before taxes. I ended up ordering it from St Charles Isuzu for 115 US plus 10 US shipping. When it arrived at my house I had to pay another 60 Can in brokerage fees/tax. This gave me a grand total of $ 202.21 Canadian. A total savings of $401.54. Yes after taxes the range sensor would cost $603 Canadian(487.65 US). GM Canada really wants to gouge us Isuzu owners.

Now for the spark plugs. Dealer sells single platinum Denso's for $21.00 a plug before tax. A grand total of $150.00 Canadian (121.32 US) after taxes.
I have just ordered my double platinum denso plugs from Sparkplug.com for 40 US plus 23 US shipping. I expect a fee of about 25 Can upon arrival for a grand total of $102.89 Can or 83.22 US. Its expensive still but I am getting double platinum instead of single and I'm saving $47 dollars. More importantly I am giving money to people who wish to do honest business.

The crazy thing is I can order my parts cheaper from St. Louis and California than I can buy parts from the dealer 1/2 a mile down form my house.

John, I hope you tried disassembling the range sensor, cleaning & re-lubing with silicone grease before you ordered a new one!! *Most* times that's all they need. Sounds like you ordered the denso PK16PR11 plugs. That's good 'cause those are the only ones we know of that work on the 2000+ 3.2/3.5.
G/luck

I disassembled and cleaned it twice. It was done. Yes I ordered the pk16pr11(double platinum) the originals were the k16pr-p11 or something close to that(single platinum).

It tells the PCM computer what gear the operator has selected & lights up the appropriate dash (PRND321) light. Almost all modern electronic AT's have them attached to the trans shift arm.

Ha! The plugs just came in 10 dollars cheaper than expected at $92.00 Can. People at GM Canada should be doing jail time.
