Re: finaly some pics of my poblems

check your throttle cable it may be to tight there is a sliding bracket that you can adjust right above the throttle body, thats a crazy high idle.

Re: finaly some pics of my poblems

ohh yea i forgot. on the 2. picture the car is not running and as you can see it's 500rpm's all the same! the meter shows that the engine is running 1400rpm's but in fact its just 900rpm this is some kind of a electrical glitch

Re: finaly some pics of my poblems

Lol whats the problem? The gauge is saying he has 500 RPM going when the engine is off! Dunno what would cause that, its a very strange problem.

Re: finaly some pics of my poblems

yea it bugs the hell outa me!!! i dont think it affects the shifting thoug in normal driving it shifts gears when the meter shows 2500-3500 rpms 2000-3000 real time rpms

Re: finaly some pics of my poblems

probly ECU problem...not worth buying a whole ECU to see if it is...or the $60 to have a Diag. done on it...i'd say u should just deal with it...think of your car as special b/c it can be at 500 RPM's when it's not even on it was born ready.

Re: finaly some pics of my poblems

Its strange, I say ask over at 3SI because there are lots more people there who might have seen this before.

Re: finaly some pics of my poblems

I havn't given up yet, I'm still searching a few places, 3si being one of them. Quick question, you mentioned something about installing an MSD right...when did this start occuring in relation to when the MSD was installed?

Re: finaly some pics of my poblems

"Also under the coil packs is a small flat black box.It is the ignition control module. There is a pin labled tach.Make sure you have a good connection and maybe check to see if you are getting a signal at that pin but a little bit back down the wire."

Something I found, not sure if it will help though.
