Injectors question
First anyone used the ford #19's yet?
What are the signs of an injector leaking into head while motor is off? I am experience long start wich could be the check valve in pump, also noticed gas odor in the oil, and running rough on start up with black soot on the driveway, almost like it is flooded. Smooths out after 1-2 minutes. |

Re: Injectors question
scuba,
Sounds like you do have a leaky injector. At least that would account for the soot, and rough idle for a coule minutes. As the injector upgrade goes, I think that was for the 95 model year and older. I have an 88 I'm thinking of upgrading , let me know if you find anything out. |

yeah, I think so too, at least I hope that is what it is. I have a 1993 and on ebay the prices for the #19 are the same if not cheaper than stock jeep ones. I am going to try some local places first.

Re: Injectors question
I installed the 19# Ford injectors from Fiveomotorsports, gotta admit it,they helped out with startup and mileage issues and the price was fair enough for me.

anyone know how to see if injectors are leaking? I released the fuel preassure after running it and started it up after sitting for a while and it still did the same, Could it be the IAC? I unplugged it at idle and the engine ran the same!!
