Chevy S-10 L4 modifications

I have a 2000 S-10 with the 2200 L4, automatic transmission, 33,000 miles. Does anyone know of simple modifications (computer chip changes) that will boost the torque and HP, without over stressing the motor?

No chip I think of, all you can do is upgrade the intake and exhaust.

Re: Chevy S-10 L4 modifications

Any time you do a chip mod. it will add stress to the engine. There are only two ways to get extra hp and torque, remove some stress from the engine or make a bigger boom. Chips usualy do the second through changing of the mixture and timing (depending on the year of vehicle) to make the larger explosion. Intake manifold and exaust reduce flow losses within your engine, making the engine work less to pump air and gas in and push exhaust out.
