Car Advice| And Parts Advice

I was looking to buy a tiburon.

I was wondering which way i could go to get the best outof my money but still have a way nice car that i may race with depending (maybe go into car shows too).

First would it be better to get an earlier year and upgrade everything (i am going to upgrade as much as possible). or get a latter year and upgrade it.

I ve been looking at the 2005 se version which looks cool but if i just going to get new body kit, and all that other stuff is it even worth it?

Heres a short list of what i want to do to it (a tiburon that i buy).

Dual Exaust/Catback
Cold Air Intake
pulley system upgrade
Body Kit (2 skirts, front and rear bumper maybe fenders if it comes with it)
Rear and front strut bars
Headers
Spark Plugs
Radar Detector
Hood Carbon fiber (200$)
with a 50$ carbon fiber scoop
Tires and Rims
Adjustable Coilovers (around 4")
New Lights Rear and Front
Custom Gauges
Custom (carbon fiber or alumin.) Dash kit
Maybe New Seats/ Racing Seats
I already own a Stereo System
A Supercharger but im not 100% sure about this one and if i get it when i should
With this stuff i would probably have to get an engine upgrade - (anyone know how much this could cost) to handle the hp
ECU chip
Stage 3ish Transmission
Camshaft upgrade

I may not get some of this i may get other stuff not sure yet. Also money cost.

I sure theres more but icant think right now so if the question is confusing let me know.
Would it be worth getting a new model if im gona do all this?

Re: Car Advice| And Parts Advice

If you can find a nice low mile 03.. then get that, or if you want something a lil newer find an 04... the 05s arent anything special,
i would set a budget for yourself.. how much you want to spend on each part of your car:
apearance:
suspenison:
engine:
sound/ visual:
and i can help point you in a good direction

i dont plan on buying it till im 21, 2010, about 4.3 years from now, i just want to plan now so i can start saving and w/e i dont have by then im getting a loan.

My top priority is that i dont want the car to break down faster so i wont do things like an ecu chip. kinda a waste of money if you dont have alot.

for the other stuff i want something close to top of the line (not sure exactly the price range) if its too much maybe something that a little less then close im not tottally sure.

price depends on how much i get the car for, im thinking around a total of 16,000 so anything i get the car cheaper i can spend on parts.

Is a turbo/ s/c bad for the engine, lower the life expectency? i heard they were good for gas milage but is it bad for the engine?

i.e for an cold ait intake i expected about 300, headers 150-200 so on. radar 300 (escort x50 as of now)
