ESi performance products

I've found a very nice one-owner Talon ESi and am very interested in it, but I can't find any performance parts that provide a "real" gain in horsepower. I've found small things like Camgears and an exhaust and intake, but I can't find anything along the lines of a camshaft, etc.

Can someone help me out here?

Re: ESi performance products

if your looking for speed and preformance, dont get a ESi...you will put so much more money into it just to get it as fast as a TSi that will cost half as much....

Yeah, thats right. Its all the same.

I lvoe my ESi, want a TSi tho. ESi is a goood place to start if its your 1st car, but its probably not for you.

SUPERCHARGE IT!
I supercharged my old esi and it kicked ass, i was runnin mid 15s with it, get a roots style supercharger, use the air conditioning linkage and pully to run it, and spend 50$ getting a custom intake built, took us about 4 hours to completely supercharge my car, The power was there INSTANTLY:P....thats my suggestion, and crank the timing advance......mines at 29 degrees at 650 rpm......i think stock is around 7 degrees.....pm me if ur interested iv got pics and stuff

Re: ESi performance products

how many tsi's, gst's, and gsx's run high 14's or under on a turbo? oh yeah almost all of them. Ok now how many 420a powered cars run 14's on a turbo? More and more these days. Ok finally, how many 420a cars run 14's on superchargers? not a lot. Sometimes being diferent can be a refreshing change. Thats why I would do it if I had the money. peace

Alright I'll check out DSM Trader. I did find a 92 TSi FWD with a rebuilt motor, turbo, tranny, new tires, new radiator, and new hoses. The picture of it isn't real clear so I'm gonna call him about it tonight and see how the body is. If it doesn't have any dings I'll probably drive out to his place Saturday and buy it.

why supercharge it? its a good project, works well, doesnt cost much money and it very simple, and if your pocket cant afford a tsi and so on the why not put 500 into it and supercharge it?....to each his own, it was a fun project and works awesome. Im runnin 12.6 on the 1/4 mile with my tsi awd now, the supercharger was last year.
