Question about one of my sensors.

Hi, i have a 94cavalier, running fine, my alternator broke a couple of months ago and after having it replaced the check engine light kept coming on, but only after i drove it for alittle while, finally managed to come to the conclusion that it was an oxygen sensor, it is right up front by the fan and its got maybe an 8inch wire which looks like it got unplugged, and i just cant figure out where to plug it back into. any help would be much appreciated

Re: Question about one of my sensors.

the wire does not plug into the sensor. the wire has a plug a little up the wire. if it is seperated at the sensor you will need to replace it.

Re: Question about one of my sensors.

well it comes out of part of the engine, and then it ends in a clip looks like a little cone with some peice of metal or something on the inside. i figured i would have to plug that into somewhere. other then that its just coming out of the enging and hanging

there shoudl be another plug under there somewhere! As the wire should link to your PCM!

Re: Question about one of my sensors.

look at your harness... there should be another wire either dangling with a matching plug on the end or its at tangled up and wrapped around something... it really should be hard at all there arent many places for the wire to go
