yes im wondering a couple of things, first the ac will blow out the front vents for a little while and then it will stopup and only blow out on our feet.it sounds like when it stops up one of the older trucks that have the vents on the side near the drivers side.anyone with any advice on this would be helpful.also when my gas tank gets near empty like to the red marks and i go to come to a stop, the truck just cuts off.im wondering what part of the fuel delivery would cause it to just cut off?it will start right back up,but only does it when the tank is low on gas.help!!!!

I have been advised by a garage not to let my tank get below 1/4 tank as the fuel cools the fuel pump/sending unit. Seems there are alot of other posts on here about low fuel/stalling. See the following:

I bet when you stop, the inertia causes what little fuel is in your tank to rush forward, leaving the fuel pump dry, cutting off the supply of fuel. I've done it to myself in various vehicles. Not sure what half the fuel sits exactly, but next time you have about 1/2 a tank, park on a hill, facing uphill. If the gas gauge goes toward Full, the float is toward the back (opposite of the fuel's inertia when stopping). If the gauge moves toward Empty, the pump is in the front of the tank and we're back to the drawing board!!

Your gas tank is shaped like, well, picture a tool box on the back of a pickup. Cut it in half. So you have the low part, then the upper part which sits on the rail of the pick up bed. Half a tool box is similar to the shape of your gas tank, and the upper part sits over your axle in the rear, and the rest goes forward towards the cross member. The sending unit is basically in the middle or towards the back of the lower portion.
