smell of gas

im wondering on a 94 villager,why when the gas tank gets near empty why there is a smell of gas inside the van?anyone that help with this???

EGR HOSE if you search the foroum you will find the post on how to fix it 15 minutes tops of work.

egr, yes i agree. they are easy to clean, aslo their too easy to clog. debree from a dirty intake will get it everytime. i fially broke down one week end and cleaned my intake(what a mess in there). its been a year and havent had a problem yet.

Like on my 94. They had a recall for the vent hose that's on the filler neck of the gas tank. They would get brittle and crack then u would smell gas inside the van. Free fix at the dealership
