I need help, I have a 99 ford contour that has been on a downhill since summer of 04. First fuel pump, then timer belt, and I do not know what is going on . It started with the check engine light, I got a oil change still set. I started to notice that I was not getting any power it is like It was dying on me. suddenly it did, while driving to the gas station the car engine just stop running, I put gas in it and got a jump it turned very weekly ran for a minute then shut itself off again. if there is anybody out there with simuliar problems or a solution please advise me.

Re: in need of help
Usually the fuel pump, which is a known problem on the returnless fuel tours, doesnt cause it to stall completely. You would notice a lack of power at wide open throttle.
Have you gotten the check engine light checked out? If you could get the code pulled and let us know what it is, that would be a start. |
