Is there any way to test the paint on any of the parts?

Recently I've painted two Japanese kits molded in red...a Rosso 512 TR and a Hasegawa Miura, both primed w/Tamiya light gray primer and coated w/Cobra Colors Grigio Alloy (light blue metallic) w/o any problems w/color bleed. But I did paint a yellow Fujimi RX8 where the Tamiya white primer seemed to be bleeding the yellow through...or perhaps the primer wasn't covering, I switched to a coat of gray primer and back to white, and the pearl white paint I applied over that is pure pearl white w/o yellow color bleed.

If you're shooting hot colors such as spray cans of Black Gold you might have some problems (color bleed/plastic etching) since it's very hot paint. You'll need a good primer/sealer coat on the model. If you airbrush Black Gold/HOK paints mix 'em w/Gunze Mr. Thinner and spray light coats, the plastic should be fine.
