Re: Took some pics of the CRX.

damn, i can fry that car with some shrimp and vegetables and soy sauce. i don't want to be mean but if you sell those altezzas and that wing and invest the money more on the engine or on suspension, it would be sweeet.

Re: Took some pics of the CRX.

I'm still in debate about motor swap and/or turbo. But what I'm truely afraid of is the law. They recently made it a Felony if your caught street racing. I can't afford the lawyer fees, fines, jail time and car getting impounded. So I wonder what the point would really be to turbo the piss outta it then wind up in jail. Ya sure i could go to the only 1/4 mile track some 30 miles away to run, but that's the only time i'd be able to really use it with out being paranoid.

Just an example: Two kids were racing the other day, one lost control and slammed into a guard rail killed driver and passenger. So the kid that had nothing to do with the wreck, but was racing him gets charged with 2 counts of involuntary vechicle manslaughter. Pretty F'ed up, but I hear about it all the times here in the local news.

Plus I enjoy 41mpg hwy, 35 mpg city

having a ton of power only drives you to use it. im happy with my 108hp stock si engine. its fun as hell to drive, but doesnt get the popo on me. i would say just do exhaust and stuff, just dont go overboard on the mods with some z3 fenders and type-R badges!

as long as you dont make your car too big of a show, you dont need too much show.

not worth all the trouble.. and possible death..

Re: Took some pics of the CRX.

yeah i'm always trying to decide whether or not to go the turbo route - logically the cost and mpg win out, but when i'm driving i would sacrifice some mpg to get more power out of the engine - especially when trying to merge into traffic you almost have to floor the dang thing lol. There's nothing wrong with the added power to your car, it's how you use it. If you're smart and dont drag race at stop lights then you should be fine.

Also, the crX looks sweet with the interior. What color carpet did you use? Just get rid of the wing lol But if it all looks good to ya, good deal That car has some potential!

Re: Took some pics of the CRX.

Carpet is Black. Got it off E-bay for like 150, just had to cut all the holes and install it.

I do plan on getting D1/F1 fenders. I was just going to put on the Mugen Rear bumper if the weather was good. Was going to wait on the Invader Front Bumper and Side Skirts till I got the fenders.

Re: Took some pics of the CRX.

sweet, i think i'm getting black too - getting it from ACC for like $170 or something like that. But in florida it gets so hot, i might get a dark grey or something just to keep the heat out ^_^

Re: Took some pics of the CRX.

Yea I live in South Texas. I might fix the A/C. But I normally only drive the car on the weekends anyways.

Look for the dude "carpet4cars" on ebay then send him an e-mail. He's got a bunch of different colors. Real nice guy and had good communication with me. If he doesn't have a carpet for sale on e-bay for your car at the moment, just ask him and he'll put it up there.

Re: Took some pics of the CRX.

Oh wow. It was looking nice until I saw your diamond plate mats, the wing, and those big ugly wheels. you could have dropped it with that money. Should have kept the nice si wheels.

Anywho, nice rice.

Re: Took some pics of the CRX.

I don't want to be mean.

But isn't the point of sports tires to perform in your vehicle.

That huge wing + lights + huge rims = -HP not +HP.

If i was a cop I would pull you over just for that wing and those rims. Cops are gonna think your street racing just because you have those things on your car.

You could have put a nice ZC in there and dropped it with that money. Giving you a faster car, and no attention.

Its just that people don't really like show cars with no go basicly.

Re: Took some pics of the CRX.

Hey nothing wrong with making your car look how you like it, im just not a fan of wings. When you get some performance upgrades it will kinda drown out the rice additives, a little.

As long as you are happy with your car, then that is all that matters and I am proud of it
