1990 Toyota 4Runner Clutch Pedal PROBLEM
Hey,
I've got a 1990 4Runner and my clutch pedal has moved and appears to have "broken loose" from whatever it is attached to...Does anyone know if it is bolted to the firewall or if they were welded to it?...It started off that it was not lined up with the clutch switch and today it completely broke and I cannot press the clutch at all...I had been cranking it with the clutch cancel switch but now I can't change gears or anything...I took the panels off around the steering wheel and I got up in it and looked and the whole clutch pedal assembly is loose and not lined up properly...It has alot of play in it and you can see where it bolts to a metal piece (attached to the firewall?) that has come loose...Does anyone know of any way to repair this?...My 4Runner is pretty much worthless without an operational clutch pedal...Does anyone know if there is a bolt or screw that will hold it in place (I don't think there is because it looks like it is bolted to a metal piece that has come un-welded) or if it has to be welded back (I hope not)? I have searched this board and the internet for any info on this matter and I can't find anything...If anyone can help me out with this I'll greatly appreciate it... |
