Wiper Problem

I have a 2003 Montana with a windshield wiper problem that I could use some help on.

The intermittent mode on the wipers does not work.

The wipers work on full-on/highspeed but stop when selected to intermittent. When the wipers stop they stop in their last position and do not return home.

If the wipers are on highspeed and are turned off, the same thing happens they stop in their last position which could be in the middle of the window.

If the last position is at the bottom of the window they will return home.

Note this problem is a result of operating under ice and snow loading. Note the design is poor since the cavity which the wipers return to in home position is the first place to fill up with ice and snow and is very difficult to clear away.

Any assistance is appreciated

The crank arm is our of sync.

Usually just the screw has come loose, or the park pin is damaged.

Read a few of the posts in these forums for various fixes.
