Question 94 vette rear end noise

I have a 1994 corvette, there is a werid noise that comes from the rear end when I start to accelerate. It sounds like a sqeeking and metal rubbing sound. I've check the brakes and rotors and cant seem to figure it out. Anyone with any thoughts on what it may be please reply. Thanks

Re: 94 vette rear end noise

My 84 has been doing the same kind of noise, and it get way worst when it rains or when I take my car to the car wash, it looks like the water affects the problem. Some people tells me to check the U-joints, wheel bearings and even the emergency brake assembly. I havent done it on mine yet, I dont have enough time right now. If you get to figure it out before I do, please let us know, good luck man, and dont forget to waive!!!

If it happens right after backing up, it is normal. It's caused by the ABS sensor at the rear wheel
