2001 Grand AM GT

Hey Pontiac Fans!

I just have a little problem with the brake system.....Braking on Dry Road is Amzing absolutely no problem ..but as soon as there is snow on the ground and its slippery the ABS is Acting up. The brakes make a terrible grinding noise both ABS and Parking Brake warning lights come on. I can reset the system by turning the car on and off. Just Really curious how a system can work diff on diff surfaces. Thank you For your Help. 2001 Pontiac Gt 4dr. V6 Ram AIr. By the way its a sweet Ride love it.

Re: Breaks?

Sounds to me like your emergency brake cables are locked up. Jack up the vehicle. and check each wheel by spinning it. Once you pin point the problem wheel/wheels. There should be some visible cause of the problem.

Re: 2001 Grand AM GT

Welcome to the forum but please don't create 2 threads for one issue. I tried to answer your question in your other thread. Good Luck

Re: 2001 Grand AM GT

I explianed in the other thread but I think you have stuck emergency brake cable or stuck caliper.

you'll quickly learn that you'll get the most crap from your brakes in a grand am. That is their major weakness.. trust me,
