turbo tune?

i heard from my brother that theres a screw or some way i can tune my turbo by myself? because i just replaced my turbo with another stock turbo because my old one got messed up and this one laggs like crazy so i was wandering if theres anyway i can tune it?

If the turbo is lagging as bad as you say it is then something else is wrong and upping the boost will only make the problem worse. There is no screw to "tune" the turbocharger, what I assume he's talking about are the two wastegate bolts or possably a manual boost controller. You can shim the WG actuator out with a few washers to put more pressure on the WG and raise boost. Be warned though, this 25 cent mod can end up costing you ALOT more if you go crazy with it. One washer (1mm spacers) will raise boost roughly 1psi. You should try some other mods first like a full exhaust and an intake, maybe even new intake piping to replace the old brittle rubber and plastic peices.
