I guess no one know??? READ PLEASE!

In response to my "Does Anyone Know" thread, the mechanic told me the car shutting off was due to the Mass Air Flow Sensor mis signalling and telling my car is wasnt recieving the right air amounts, so it would shut off. He cleaned the part, so he would not have to replace it, and it worked like a charm, cost $60 total, he said a replacement with labor would have been easily 300+, now for the oil leak, he does not want to replace the cylinder head, because he thinks he can fix the problem cheaper, by doing something with the CamShaft??? By what he said, "lift that cam shaft up and check those gaskets...." he sounded confident that he could fix it, after two days ago seeming to give up, cause he "didnt know what was leaking...." Can anyone reply to this? I could use some advice about this damn oil leak, its really ruining my VW experience. Thanks Again,
Tivo

Cam seals, cam adjuster seals, cam plug seal. Make sure he gets VW parts and the special grease for the cam plug.
