I have a 1994 honda civic ex (D16z6) and i just rebuilt it.
It has a 9.2:1 cr with srp pistons and eagle rods. I was thinking of getting a stage II turbo kit from anyturbo.com. It runs from 7 - 10 psi and will add 120hp. ???IS THIS WISE??? what else should be done?? thanx,,,, |

Re: How Much Boost???
If you just rebuilt it with new pistons and rods, I dont see why you couldnt give it 10 psi -- just rememer that with more air you will need more fuel, make sure you have your fuel system upgraded -- and dont forget an ECU with the proper fuel mapping!

like sparq said, think about getting a new fuel system and i think you should send the ECU to Jet Performance to have it rechipped.

I sent mine to jet to get it rechipped for VTEC capability and a higher redline on the PM6 ECU. They do all kinds of stuff to rechip it for better performance.

you might also want to upgrade your valve train. Maybe titanium valves? With new pistons and rods you should be safe running 7-9psi.
