i was getting on the freeway today and my clutch pedal quit working the cable doesnt seem to be broke i think its came unhooked on the pedal besides the clip is the any thing holding the cable in place i looked in the chiltons and it dont show much

Well, it's not much of a clip. It's a cable, with a bar on the end. It sits in a groove on the top of the cluch cable. If it came out, sounds like you need to adjust your clutch. Oh, and good luck. Getting that little pin on is a bit@#!!!

yea i know cant see shit up there maybe the pin fell off or something it wont adjust at all tryed that

o kit seems like it s just unhooked on the pedal but when i try to adjust it still has slack maybe i stretched the cable?? is there some kind of bolt that holds the end on the pedal ???

there's nothing but tension that holds it there. You should try adjusting the tensioner nut on the clutch arm on the transmission top to take up the slack that let it come off.. I had an 88 Firefly that had had it's clutch arm broken off and welded back on a little out of alignment, that pin would come off every time you let the clutch out too fast.. got pretty easy to put back on after a while. Towards the end, I'd just pull over, reach up under, reattach it, and keep going.
