Trans not shifting properly

I just had to drop a new motor in my 99 durango ( 93 k ) guess i was pretty lucky for it to last that long. Anyway the new motor is running great, but I noticed that when under normal or hard acceleration it quickly shifts through second gear into 3rd.It will bog down since rpm's are to low for the 3rd gear util the rpm come up. At high speeds it will shift down as needed to pass.

Hey I loved this truck till my ball joints went, my pcm stranded my wife and 6 yr old twins at least 5 times and I just had to drop $2800.00 (new motor) on a truck I'm still paying.

I had this happen when installing a shift kit. On the side of your transmission their is a cable attached to your throttle, "Kick down cable" If it installed upside down, which is very easy to do because it looks like it should go on that way, this will cause this to happen.

I just had a very similar problem with my 99 Durango....
Staying in first too long, or quickly shifting through second gear.
Turned out to be the Output Speed Sensor located on the back of the transmission.
It was an easy 20/20 job.....20 dollars and 20 minutes.
