Greetings to all,
Still a newbie on this forum. Have a problem on my 86. When I turn the ignition, Im getting no power, nothing will cut on, its like dead. Then, maybe 2 hours later, she cranks right up. If it were the alternator, dont they usually just blow out with no warnings? This has been going on for the past two days. New battery was put in last month. Could it possibly be the starter? Im a little confused. |

Re: 86 Caprice, No power when turning ignition
check ure bat terminals, they act funny sometimes if they are even a lil loose.
could be the starter too, next time it wont start have someone bang on it with a hammer lightly while u turn the key |
