My car hates me --
Does anyone know how to display codes for a 1999 Taurus? My Check Engine Soon light is on and I really cant afford to sink another nickel in to this vehicle at this time. (I have paid $1500 over the last 4 weeks trying to get the heater working, and it STILL doesnt work, and spent $1400 on a transmission 2 weeks before that) -- its sucking me dry. Anyway.. I understand there may be a way to see the codes witout having to put it on a machine.. anyone know how its done? Thank you, Yvonne |

I bought a cheep one from this guy http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...r4_PcN__Stores
And it worked great. On older cars you could use a paper clip but not on cars with OBDII |

Stores like AutoZone will read your codes for free.
