Question for the experts....
My g/f has a 2000 4x4 Silverado with 36k miles on it and just called me and said when she was driving home from work that when she applied the brakes the radio went dead, and the abs and security light came on. She pulled over to the side of the road and turned the truck off, upon restarting it everything was fine but right before she got home the radio started to act like it was gonna go off again but didn't.
I searched the forum and found a couple people had a problem with the abs and security light but nothing about those and the radio all giving problems at once. Anyone have any ideas as to what's going on here? Would this be stored as a code in the computer, because I do have a AutoTap and a laptop to check it if needed. Thanks |

Re: Question for the experts....
Just out of curiosity did you just have a Remote-Start or Alarm system just installed? My Security light would come on if the truck was started with the after market autostart that was installed properly.
Just thought... I hate electrical glitches like that....

Nothing has been recently installed on it, just did it out of nowhere. I'm gonna look at it today and I will check the charging system.
