Re: Stereo installation...

If it's anything like a 94 Altima, just take the console out (first it's the shifter trim, then this piece under the steering wheel then the console trim) then you take this big bracket that's attached the the cup holders, stock head unit and the storage thing under the radio, then you take the stereo out of the bracket aqnd reverse for install.

Re: Stereo installation...

its nothing like the altima.. and i see you've been experiementing logik!!

i'm assuming its from an s13

take the whole center console off which goes from around the shifter to around the climate controls.. then on either side of the unit will be two screws.. take 'em out and your unit should be loose.. so should the radio.. HEYOOOO..

sorry bout that.. anyways, once you do that, lift it out carefully, unplug the harnesses and antenna cable..

there you go..

if its for an s14 then i have no clue.. haven't looked at one closely enough

Re: Stereo installation...

He has a 1996 S14....check the sig, and the S14 is very similar to the Altima (same Haynes manual).

Re: Stereo installation...

I just looked, it's Chilton's not Hayne's, but anyways, you take off the shifter trim, then you take out the center console part that has the radio in it, there 4-6 screws in total, wow, will you look at that, it's basically what I said for in my first post!
