I wand to go low!!

I've got a 74 Beetle flat window 1300 with a balanced 1835. It has ball joint front end and trailing arm rear not independant. I want to lower it so that its almost scraping the ground. This is my 10th beetle so I am no newbie to Dubs, but Ive never lowered one. I want to do it myself and Im aware of my rear negative camber issues. Anyone have detailed files on being able to do this. Ive heard about drop spindles for the front and I understand the concept of resetting the torsion bars at the rear but I need detailed files. Pls Help.

Ps. Any way of countering the negative camber problems?

Re: I wand to go low!!

if you want to be scraping the ground your going to need to go with an air suspension set up. This way you can have some sick ass negative camber while scraping your frame against the asphalt but normal driving you can have a stock looking ride heigth without the effects of negative camber destroying your tires. Heres a really good site to pick up all your air suspension parts you will need. www.airkewld.com

Unhappy lowering

I have wide wheels on my bug so I'll have to either get a shortened axle or wider wings. Using lowered spindles is a great way to go as you get better handling. I had a Puma front beam on when I bought the car and it was a nightmare over bumps, lumps, potholes, at speed, etc.

Re: I wand to go low!!

Thanks for the info mate, Ive heard great things about drop spindles but they are so expensive over here. to buy and get fitted its about $1200 AUS which equates to about $950 US. I would love to get vw parts as cheap as you guys.
