Ok, now I know that my radiator has lost it's capacity due to limestone build up, and has now began to leak in a few spots. But what is somewhat wierd to me is that my tempature gauge is right before half, but when the car is @ a stand still, im getting lots of steam from the front. Could this be just steam out of the rad in the cracked spots or is my temp guage screwed?

Re: Radiator question: Is this normal?
Unoikely to be the guage, unless there is also some buildup on the sender perhaps. I wouldnt even bother to analyze this problem too much though, but thats just me
I'd just get a replacement radiator. I forget the brand, but you can get a decent new radiator for ~100 bucks. A radiator is one part on the car that abosultely has to work properly. The whole cooling system really. It's right up there with the other things that you can't do without like brakes, steering, etc
