Question Arizona Scene

I asked this question over in the Tiburon Forums, but I will ask it here since it is the street racing forum. Anyways, I just moved to Arizona a few weeks ago and am wondering if there is anyone on here that lives around Phoenix, Tempe or anywhere close to that, that I might be able to learn a few things from about street racing. I am still fairly new to it all, so I have no clue where to go or who to talk to.

Re: Arizona Scene

Trying to find street racing spots on the internet. Not a good idea. Just cruise around dude..I'm sure you'll find someone with a modded car. Then if you can..pull up beside them at a light and ask them.

http://www.rdtiburon.com

That site is dedicated to the first(97-99) and second(00-01) gen Tiburon. We can give you plenty of advice on what performance parts to get, how to install them, how to perform maintenance, etc.

Re: Arizona Scene

i live in tempe, if you want to know where some good racing is check here: www.azsolo2.com

street racing is... how should i put this, LESS THAN INTELLIGENT especially if you are trying to do something organized. stoplight grand prix because you pull up next to someone in a fast car... i can see that, but what it sounds like you are asking for is not worth the risk to anyone.

but, if autocross isn't your thing and you are looking for drag races, Firebirde International Raceway has open drags on friday nights.

besides, this way you get a timeslip so you can prove what you ran.

Well you dont have to worry about me doing anything less than intelligent. I love to drive fast, but I am also not careless or inconsiderant when I do. I just had a brother die in a motorcycle accident going 120mph on the freeway, so I do know what risks to and not to take. I am basically looking for people who I can learn about building a street car and racing, because I dont know a whole lot about that stuff.

Re: Arizona Scene

then definately give autoX a try.

you might want to go to the pavillions also, it's a weekly car show in scottsdale. open to all who want to bring their cars out, usually there are people there from 4pm to 2am.
day: sat
location: pima and indian bend (right off the 101)

Please don't resurect old threads. If you look at the date you'll see this thread is a month old. Keep that in mind if the future reference. Also, check out the AF regional section. But I'm also sure if you just google what you want, you'll find it easily. L8...

Our self-imposed limit has always been 3 months, Civ. There is no "resurrection", as the thread wasn't "dead".
