Keyless programming instructions

I have a 1996 Windstar GL. I am trying to program a remote to this vehicle. First of all, how can I tell if this van even has the keyless entry system?? And if it does, how do I program it?? I have read many posts that state to try the normal Ford approach, turn the key 8 or so times, and this method did not work. I have read that behind the glovebox there is a input that has to be momentarily shorted but I do not see anything that looks like a type of input. Please describe this procedure to me as if I were a two year old (lol). I have programmed other vehicles in the past with the key method but not familiar with this other method, Thanks!

Re: Keyless programming instructions

Turn ignition to RUN or ACC. Momentarily jump pins in programming connector behind the glovebox. All doors will lock then unlock to confirm programming mode. Press any button on 1st transmitter. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming. Press any button on 2nd transmitter (up to 4 transmitters total possible). Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.

Here is a picture of the same connector, but as found on the Bronco models. This will at least give you an idea of what to look for behind the glovebox: (inside green circle)
