Take EVERY piece of paper in your house that has a $ on it to your tax accountant NOW. And I mean NOW.

Re: F*ck The Irs

Already did it. I save all of my reciepts. All my clothing was written off, business miles, fuel, insurance, my entire purchase of my motorcycle because i do charity runs and events, every mile logged on my 47 chevy, and get this. EVERY AUTOMOTIVE PURCHASE because since i do charitable events in my 47 that it is all a tax write off. I went to H&R Block and Jackson Hewitt and used my sisters turbo tax and all of them were within a few hundred dollars

If you have deducted everything on earth, I'm not surprised. Use this lesson to structure your tax better next year. Oh yeah, I work for accountants.

Re: F*ck The Irs

It sucks for sure having to send those bastards more hard earned $$ !! to them!!

I always claim one less than actual and "withhold at higher single rate" so usually break about even.

Why did you write of your clothing and all your automotive purchases? Just b/c you use some of them for charitable events, doesnt mean that it entitles you to write them off. Plus how did you do your mileage? I believe for your mileage to be correct you cannot factor in the trip from your home to your first job, nor from the job to your home at the end of the day. And if you write it off, you HAVE to use the car to travel around everywhere. If you're simply going from home to work and vice versa you cannot do that.

Re: F*ck The Irs

Clothing was written off because i do not have uniforms at work so my accountant said any business wear i purchased is written off. my parts for my 47 was written off because every show/parade/drag etc... was all for charitable events. entry fees went to medical business for local children, parade entry fees benefited the schools, drags did a night for the shriners. the truck wasnt really driven for anything else so miles were calculated. same with my motorcycle. i did over 20 toy runs just in december. for the marine, Fire departments, toys for tots, and many childrens hospitals. and i drive many business miles that counted also

I don't even get paid overtime, or public holidays, where everyone else in town does.

Its better to owe the IRS then to get a refund. No free loans from me.

To bad national elections weren't held on April 15th. I think you'd see more time spent on our monolithic tax code.

^No, what he's saying is if you overpay your taxes, you're giving a free loan to the government.

Re: F*ck The Irs

Yeah, the IRS gets the same amount whether you have to pay to them, or them to you. Yogs is right, better to have to suck it up and pay some on April 15 then to have given them extra all year long.

I still espouse the straight 10% fed income tax. Ban the IRS...
