Everything Locked Up
We have a 98 Cavalier and it's stuck. The automatic transmission shifter won't move, the key won't turn, and so we can't start the car. It makes a "clicking" sound when I press the shifter button which I can trace to the ignition switch. Also, the brake pedal feel different, like it's pressed down a bit, still I can press it down further. I suspect all these problems are related somehow, but I have no clue where to start. Any and all suggesstions/advice/help welcomed. Thanks.

Re: Everything Locked Up
Put your key in the ignition..press hard on the brake and try to turn the wheel and turn the key.. If its what i am thinkin that should do it. The steering wheel locks up after the key is removed and you have to do that combination to get it to unlock. Your shifter will not move unless the car is on and your foot is on the brake... try that out.
