I need help A.S.A.P

I have a 1993 grand prix. I have installed a new stereo in and everything worked just fine but just in the last couple days the dome light will not shut off. I have had to unplug the fuse to the dome light so I don't drain my battery. Can anyone give me some advice on what I should try?

Is the dome light on/off switch a part of the dimmer for the dash lights ?
Usually if you turn it to the brightest setting, the next step turns on the dome light.

If it were me and I had the switch on, I would'nt reply at all. I would just say Yeah, it was a bad switch.

If it was me, I'd sell the car. That way no one would find out it was me. But I don't think it's that easy. I hope.
