Just got it back today

Well, 11 days later and I have my car back. Replaced the intake gasket set and the lower engine mount. Intake itself was in good shape. They put in on the bench and gave it a good check out--no cracks or pitting.

Mechanic said that mount was a real bitch to do! But it took care of that clunk. Apparently it was caused by the pin in the mount which would shift when the engine was under a load.

Looks like my upper mounts are in-fact fading so I'l do those myself this weekend. I know you guys said to go with the OEM mounts but I went ahead and ordered the MSP polyurethane mounts from 3800 performance. We'll see how they do.

Re: Just got it back today

Installed the MSP poly upper mounts today. I was really surprised at the difference. Can really feel less engine movement and shifting has smoothed considerably. Weren't too hard to install. Had to cut the OEM bushings out of the bracket with my sawsall. Once the old ones were out, the new ones slipped right in. Took about and hour and a half from start to finish.

Also installed my front STB and new MSD 8.5 plug wires. Still waiting for the rear STB.
