I know this may sound like a stupid question to some of you. But i need help in finding the pcv valve location. I cant find the thing. It might be in some odd location like the battery is under the rear seat. So if anyone can help me i would appreciate it.

It should be located up front of your engin, on the valve cover, there is a small black hose running to it, pull stait up, pull out the PVC valve and replace. I think

Re: 2001 Bonneville PCV valve location
FFrank, In reference to the Fuel Injector Sight Shield rubber piece that falls off easily, I bought a new piece and super glued the silly thing to the extension on the sight shield. It has stayed in place ever since. It's kind of a flimsy set-up there in the way it slips into the bracket.

If you have a 2001 SSEI edition (supercharged) the PCV location is at the back of the motor right in the middle. Firewall side on the very top. It is hidden under a black diamond shaped plate that is held down by 2-10mm nuts. The plate is completely flat with NO WIRES OR HOSES going to it. Remove the plate and pull the spring out, and use a pair of pliers to lift out the PCV. Don't loose the rubber o - ring or the motor might run crappy after. I spent an hour trying to find the thing and everything on the web and in the manual is for a different style motor (96-2000 or non supercharged maybe) were the PCV is under the MAP sensor on the passenger side. After I wiped the dust off the black
plate I noticed it said PCV on it - a head slap followed. |
